Several members of our dojo took part in the EKC held this year in Serbia. Even if this time Belgium couldn’t get any gold, silver or bronze medal; our dojo mate Toshiro Panzani was awarded with a nice “fighting spirit”…
Congratulations Toshiro!
Our dojo joined as every year the Kojika Spring tournament. This year, almost 200 juniors gathered from allover Europe but also from Canada.
Dojomembers did very well! Thank you to parents, relatives and adult members for your support!
The 10th Junior Godo Keikokai was held on January 19th & 20th at the ADEPS Sport center.
About 90 persons, juniors & adults coming from The Netherlands, Germany, United Kingdom & Belgium joined their efforts for a two days training under the supervision of Kurogi sensei.
Since the event was a huge success, Wakakoma decided to organise its 11th edition in 2020! We hope to see YOU !
Last weekend, Ghent dojo Kojika organized for the 26th time in a row their spring tournament for youngsters. This tournament fits perfectly in the goals that we put forward with our own dojo, so a large group of our members joined.
Almost 32 kids from Wakakoma joined the total number of 173 coming from 10 different countries or 26 dojo.
On the weekend of 7th & 8th of April this year, our dojo took part in two important tournaments. First one, in Luxemburg; the very first Coupe de l’Ambassadeur organized by Shobukai and the Luxemburg Kendo Federation and the next day, the annual Belgian Kendo Championships organized this year in Ixelles.
Our members did very well during these two days, several won in their category or got a medal but all of the participants could learn a lot about themselves and their actual level in kendo.
Let’s continue hard work by regular training !
A lot of friends from Great Britain, The Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg and other Belgian dojo joined our group for a two day long Keikokai at the VUB. On Saturday evening, a friendly dinner was organized in ADEPS where everyone could socialize and have a meal & drinks together.
We hope that all those who joined the practice enjoyed their weekend and invite those who couldn’t join this year to next year’s event!!
